Hereford Company of Bowmen may not be quite that old but it does continue the custom of providing a place for people to draw “the bent stick”, as the English longbow is often called, as well as the more modern forms, the recurve, as shot at the Olympics, and the compound bow.
The club forms part of the Herefordshire Archery Association (HAA) and is affiliated to the West Midlands Archery Society (WMAS) and to Archery GB, which is the National body.
The club is extremely fortunate in being able to use the sports field at Luctonians all year round and the Credenhill Social Club as an indoor venue during the winter months.
